Seven Rowan players have garnered honors after the Mid-Atlantic Rugby Conference released their All-Conference team.
Freshman lock, Jimmy Pendzik, became the first Prof ever to be named First Team All Conference. Jimmy was a standout performer throughout the season, putting in consistent performances while demonstrating a tireless work rate and a highly physical style of play. Senior captain and wing, Matt Rhodes, also earned first team honors for his lethal finishing skills and tenacious defense.
Earning second team honors were all-action flanker, Sam Portner, game changing center, John Dormann and powerhouse prop, Vito Nucci.
Finally, freshmen, Hunter Musson and Akil DeBruhl, both received Honorable Mentions for their high level of play that belied their age and college experience..
The future certainly looks bright as five of the honorees are underclassmen.
Congratulations to these fine young men on a well deserved honor!
